Issue 35       September 24

As summer comes to a close and we’re approaching the beginning of a new academic year, we spoke to colleagues to find out how they are preparing our campus.

We met Dr Hester Hockin-Boyers from our Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences to find out more about her research inspirations and interest in exercise and eating disorder recovery.

Leading up to this year’s World Menopause Day in October, we learn about the importance of creating an environment where colleagues can openly start a conversation or engage in discussions about the menopause.

Thanks to the work of our Development and Alumni Relations Office and our alumni community, we offer more than 65 donor-funded scholarship schemes. We spoke to Tara Kaul, a recent Computer Science graduate who received a donor-funded scholarship, to explore how the scholarship helped her.

To mark our Heritage Open Days, which are taking place from Friday 6 to Sunday 15 September, Dialogue headed off to one of our visitor attractions to delve into its story.
