Helping you navigate the DU Hub – introducing our ‘Working at Durham University’ site

It’s been over a year since we launched our new University intranet on SharePoint, the DU Hub. Since then, the site has had over 3 million visits from staff and students looking to connect with their Academic Department, find support and information from University services, and catch up with the latest news and events. 

We’ve also been looking at ways we can continue to develop the site, and that includes listening to ideas and suggestions from around the University. So, when colleagues told us they’d like to have clearer ways to navigate to useful information for staff, we got straight to work on a solution.

We’re now able to introduce our new Working at Durham University directory, where you can find all of the information needed to support your day-to-day work here at Durham.  

Whether you need to browse training opportunities, access policies and procedures, or find staff support options, this useful new section of the intranet helps you navigate all of Durham’s SharePoint sites from one easy-to-use place.

The Working at Durham section includes links to:

  • Useful contacts across the University.
  • Working essentials, including ways of working, IT help and information for new starters.
  • Professional development support.
  • Details about our campus and facilities.
  • Travel and parking information.
  • Wellbeing support.
  • Details about social options at Durham.

We’ll be continuing to develop the Working at Durham section in collaboration with both Academic and Professional Services colleagues, so we’re asking for anyone with ideas or suggestions on how we can further improve it to get in touch via our form.
