We are celebrating our annual Professional Services: Inspiring the Extraordinary Awards on Wednesday 24 January at The Mount Oswald Hub.

Our colleagues in Professional Services form an integral part of University life. Their hard work, experience and skills fundamentally contribute to the success of our University.

We want to recognise them for all the fantastic things they do, whether it is their leadership, their outstanding commitment to supporting others or their dedication to areas such as Equality, Diversity and Inclusion or the environment.

Towards the end of 2023, we received over 540 award nominations across the 14 categories, and it is great to see so many achievements, hard work, and dedication across the University.

Congratulations to our 36 colleagues and 12 teams who have been shortlisted for our Awards.

Phil Fletcher, Senior Project Manager in CIS is one of those 36 colleagues and has been shortlisted in the ‘Outstanding Commitment to Others’ category.

Dialogue asked Phil how he feels about being nominated and shortlisted for this year’s Inspiring the Extraordinary Awards.

Phil told us:

I'm thrilled to have been shortlisted for the 'Outstanding Commitment to Others' award. It's a fantastic feeling to see my work being recognised at such a level, and to know that colleagues have taken the time to put my name forward.

Phil continues: ''I couldn't be more thankful to those who nominated me, and also to the University for giving me the opportunity to develop the CIS Rising Stars Graduate Scheme for which I have been shortlisted.’’
