Issue 24

This October you can explore the wonders of our universe and join astronomers on a journey to outer space, as Celebrate Science returns for 2023.

We spoke with Lizzie Amies-Fletcher to find out more about the Living the Principles open course programme and how small changes can improve your work-life balance.

We’ll also tell you about some practical steps you can take to help look after your mental health.

You’ve probably heard of Greenspace, or even been involved with some Greenspace projects around campus, but how much do you know about the team that coordinates environmental initiatives here at Durham? Jon-Paul Dunne, one of the Sustainability Coordinators in our Energy and Sustainability Team, talked to us about bringing our University community together to reduce our environmental impact.

Finally, we caught up with Dr James Weeks about balancing his roles as Professor, composer and as Chair of the MUSICON series.
